Geometric Algebras, Clifford algebras, Grassmann exterior algebras, continuous and discrete geometry, global visibility.

Current work

Global visibility computation (visibility between two surface elements) in a space of lines.

  • Algebraic formulation of the problem, then validation of the formulation in any dimension.
  • Solution to the problem of the minimal polytope (smallest (in term of inclusion) convex set representing the lines stabbing two convex faces).
  • Exact handling of degeneracies
  • Implementation in the 3D case:
    • Improvement of previous algorithmic solutions
    • Handling of silhouettes (exposition of singularities and development of solutions to handle these singularities)

Projects

  • Ph. D. project (done): global visibility computation: from theory to practice.
  • Current projects: application of geometric algebras to discret geometry
    • Modeling of general discrete linear manifolds (generalization of the Reveilles line to any linear manifold in any dimension).
    • Discrete rotations in Clifford algebras.
    • Line reconstruction/recognition problem in a discrete image: generalization to any discrete linear manifold recognition.
