Comparison study between 3D Modelling of human foot
In 3D Human Modelling - Avril 2003
The fields of medicine and biology increasingly rely on three-dimensional reconstructions. However, the initial datasets from which the reconstructions are based are often limited by technological factors (resolution of input devices, input method, etc). This paper presents and compares different methods that allow accurate 3D modelling of human foot depending on the nature of the initial dataset. Two cases are described: when data is issued from unorganized points obtained by 3D acquisitions systems and when it consists of successive sections in the case of CT, MRI and anatomical sections. The three-dimensional reconstructions are presented in VRML format and compared.
