Invariant feature extraction for 3D texture analysis using autocorrelation function

A new method for invariant feature extraction on textured images undergoing affine transformation is presented. This is performed by
transformation of the autocorrelation function (ACF) followed by determination of an invariant criterion which is the sum of the coefficients
of the discrete correlation matrix. Experimental results support the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
